[Asterisk-Dev] app_voicemail.c with group voicemail string length

Folks:

There is a thread that just won't go away on the -USERS list regarding 
group voicemail. The issue -- as far as I can tell -- is that the vm 
app stops shifting the string of vm boxes that is passed to it after 
what appears to be 256 chars.

Some advice was passed around about adjusting some tmp[256] 
declarations but seemingly to no avail, thus:

"in app_voicemail.c in the function vm_exec set the tmp[256] to be 
tmp[4096]"

Can anyone shed any light here?
