If I'm not mistaken, Pickup from bristuff is implemented as an application
in app_pickup.so and is channel-independent. On the other hand, the
pickup functionality of Asterisk is implemented in res_features.so,
and only works between channels of the same type. At least that's what
I remember from reading voip-info.org, which seems to be down at the
moment, so I cannot send a link to back this up :)
