Well, now that you mention it, I actually have considered developing a 
3-window ncurses front end for Asterisk :-)

I would like to see ast_log output, ast_cli output and the CLI 
prompt/commands not have to be intermixed. It certainly would help when 
I'm trying to debug things, especially if debug output could be directed 
to the ast_cli window and not be intermixed with the ast_log output.

Yeah, it's overkill, I know... but I still may just do it.
