[Asterisk-Dev] Function used in Register User Agent

hello

i was checking chan_sip.c function
register_verify(...)
i want to know is this the function used in
Registeration process. i want to change the
registration process for example change username to
ID,secret to PIN. One thing i want to know i want user
authentication at call time (means when user agent try
to call it perform user authentication). I think
asterisk support this feature of calltime
authentication.
