Thanks to Jeremy and Brian I was inspired to test Asterisk::LDAP against
Asterisk 1.2. I'm very happy to report that my sample dialplan loaded
perfectly into Asterisk 1.2 with no modifications to either my dialplan
or Asterisk::LDAP.

The good news (at least for me) is that much of the work for
compatibility between Asterisk 1.0 and 1.2 is up to the Asterisk
administrator. My code really doesn't do much more than read an
extensions.conf out of LDAP and possibly update an Asterisk install.
Thanks to a backwards-compatible extensions.conf the upgrade path should
be very straightforward. Even the new priority[+offset][(alias)] syntax
should work just fine.

Note that Asterisk::LDAP doesn't even pretend to support AEL yet.

Hope that helps. I'll update the documentation on my site. Thanks for
the great question and keep 'em coming!
