[Asterisk-Dev] Accessing astdb through perl

Hi, 

I am trying to access the astb through perl. Following some online
examples I have managed to extract information from the DB, however I
only seem to get the family/key but no value.

I was wondering if someone has a more complete example of how to use
perl to manipulate the astdb, to add,remove,list and update values.

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
