I had a simple implementation of SERVice messages in bug
3450, which was just closed because I slacked on it and
nobody could test the implementation. It offered b-channel
restarts, but it should be easily extendable to d-channel
restarts.
Do you have a far end switch that I/we could test with ?
Most switches do not appear to support this class of
messages.
