It's emails like this that prove my point.  In this case, the author has 
used the word 'illegal' rather then 'potentially illegal' or 'allegedly 
illegal'.  Now both the author and Digium really could be at risk, but 
because I'm not a malicious blood thirsty mega corporation with a legal 
department the size of a small town, I'll choose to forgive you both and 
not sue. 

Although my suggestions might be slightly biased, you will find that 
upon analysing them objectively they are also quite practical and offer 
some very real benefits.
