Hi,

since everybody is recommending something for monitoring, I'd like to mention that there is
a passive usb monitoring probe. Passive as opposed to pass-through, which is interfering
with the device under test.
If you need affordable ISDN-monitoring equipment that consists of a small usb probe
connected to a notebook or PC running Ethereal for decoding have a look at
http://www.innoventif.com
Ethereal can decode Q.921, Q.931, X.31, X.25, PPP, and all IP protocols on top of it.
There is an EyeSDN US-S0 and an EyeSDN USB-E1. Nothing for T1 that I know of,
it'ss a European company. The device can record B channels for voice recording or create trace
files of B channel sessions.
If you reply please include my mail address, I only browse the mailing list archives from time to time.

Chunky machines, no doubt needing chunky wads of cash for purchase.
:-)

PCMCIA T1/E1 cards exist, and more than one test equipment maker
supplies one of these with a Windows app. as their test system.

No doubt these PCMCIA cards are pricy, but at least fitted in your
favourite notebook you have a comfortable machine to take around with
you, that is the only machine you need.

Regards,
Steve
