Perhaps. but every analog fxs interface I've seen (pbx, voip gateways
and so on) provide at least 30 mA (and up to 50)

Also we must consider how the proslic react to a load... 20 mA
could became 16 if the impedance is too low, for example...
even if *should* be standard :)

btw, I'm not sure about our local telco. I'll investigate.
