It seems additionally, I have the super power of being able to make 
bkw go 'ewww' on command. Neat trick and all, but I doubt the league 
of superheroes will be calling me anytime soon to join.

Back OT, Why not? It may be harder to implement (or not, check out 
pug xml, a public domain implementation of a recursive XML parser.) 
but in the end configuration would be easier for the end person, and 
then we could take each configuration object and treat them as such.

Then this entire issue of using tabs or not will go away, and it will 
be in the end more user and speech synth friendly; You do want this 
to be accessible to the blind as well as the common man, right?
