Several people have made grand claims about DSP solutions they will have 
for * by the Spring. Then they write to me saying they have no money, 
know nothing about either DSP or hardware design, and could I help :-) 
Even things claiming to ship next month can be vapourware. Just look at 
the firefly hard phone :-)

That said, the design looks rational, and could certainly be made for 
the price they are asking, if they have commited to a reasonable volume 
for the DSP software. It probably requires a replacement for chan_zap, 
and some other other mods to *. The existing design has no way to 
control an echo canceller on the cards, or deal with compressed audio 
streams.
