Sometimes it is a perfectly valid thing to say.

Patents are supposed to be granted FOR A LIMITED TIME. Our tax dollars
should not be funding government enforced monopolies. We need more people
to realize how unfair our current system is and speak up about it. In this
case we need a lot more cries of "it's not fair!" The patent should exist
for a few years, just long enough for someone to make a reasonable profit
on their effort such that it is worthwhile to do, and no more. We are not
obligated to make anyone filthy rich.

Write it yourself? Are we talking about patents or copyrights? The problem
is that one cannot write it themselves due to patents. If we are talking
about copyrights, consider the fact that Mickey Mouse is still copyrighted
long after his creator is dead and no longer needs incentive to create.

That's silly. Lots of people write free software without patent
protection.

It did quite well by me. I think most parents are the real problem.
