you can use another * box if you like ...

but digium also have E1/T1 cards and beyond a certain number you really do
NOT want to be doing analog lines (echo, manageability and a hell of a
mess of wires contribute to this)

another * if you really want to have an external load factor, but why?

please read the documentation a lot more thoroughly, and also read the
wiki end-to-end (www.voip-info.org) which has a ton of information

AND

please don't post this to the -dev list which is strictly for asterisk 
development (and NOT deployment) questions, which belong on the -users

welcome to *, it'll make all your telephony requirements simple to 
accomplish, but you'll have to give it and yourself time (or hire a 
consultant ... dime a dozen :)
