[Asterisk-Dev] Meaning less CDR with IAX2 Native Bridge.

I think only the 3rd option is meaningful. Having the
power of IAX2 and not using it is kind of senseless.

What if AST1 is one * ecxchange and AST2 is another in
different countries. Each one will need CDR for cross
billing. Will they not?

If AST1 has a call only 26 seconds long and AST2 know
only about the caller's USER ID and does not know
which extension made the call then both parties have
no means of verifying the CDRs. 

Would you pay me for such calls if there is no way to
verify that a call was actually made?  

Yes power is in the IAX2 quick delivery and native
bridging. Probably some sort of additional signalling
at the end of the call should solve this problem.

Without appropriate CDR, IAX2 can not go very far for
end to end communiations. 

I hope someone on this list has an enhancement to fix
it.
