[Asterisk-Dev] Embedded Asterisk

Hi,

I got the feeling that most people considered the discussion off-topics on
this mailing list, so that's why I haven't continued the discussion.

The meeting (which was with a local Malaysian service provider) went well.
Nothing is confirmed yet - things take time here in Asia (a lot of it), but
all in all it is positive. Basically their angle, since they are providing
wireless fixed lines - would be to deploy an Asterisk box at the customer
premisis - and in doing that obviously it would be a lot easier with an
embedded device.

As for my development - right now it's a little stalled :) I am constantly
working on two or three projects (one being an embedded wireless access
point using the same platform/os as the embedded pbx), so right now I've
been doing more on the access point functionality.

Status right now is that it boots and runs of my STB-1030N device (solid
state - no moving parts). Could use a fancy GUI though :)

Anyway - if anybody is curious I actually did set up an anonymous CVS for
the embedded source. Do:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.justit.ws:/home/jitos login

Password is 'anonymous'. Then:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.justit.ws:/home/jitos co jitos

Do NOT expect this to cleanly compile on your system :) It does cleanly
compile on my system (Debian), but it does require a couple of mount points
defined in /etc/fstab (Would love to find another way but haven't gone there
yet).

I have actually also setup a few anonymous news groups on news.justit.ws for
further discussion if it becomes too off-topics here (and no - I won't setup
a mailing list - newsgroups are far easier to handle).
