If you write some proprietary software to do it, you could use SIP for 
this as SIP is just a signalling protocol. However, if you mean the 
standard SIP/RTP combination used by most SIP applications, it's not 
suitable for data in the general case as it uses UDP as is therefore 
unreliable.
