> On calls to analog equipment, audio is not cut through until signaling is complete. The patch I am submitting allows a configuration option which will allow audio to be cut through immediately on selected channels, in order to allow the caller to hear the call setup process.
> This patch is useful to those wishing to troubleshoot or otherwise interact with electromechanical switching equipment, where inband audio during call setup is the expected norm.
> In addition to Asterisk, there will also be patches submitted for dahdi-linux and dahdi-tools. All three patches are required in order for this feature to work.
