> I'm totally new here and don't have anything setup because I don't know if Asterisk is capavle of doing what I want.
> I have an analog landline and analog phones.
> I want a system that will intercept incoming calls, check the caller id based on area code and 3 digit prefix, and block calls tha match a block list.
> I have plenty of hardware available, but anticipate using a raspberry pi.
> I don't know what kind of ATA adapter would be required to do this nor do I know if Asterisk is capable of being used to filter incoming pstn while allowing outboind pstn to pass through.
> I may have gotten all the terminology wrong because I really know nothing about this kind of telephony yet.
> Help would be greatly appreciated
