Shaun, I've successfully built signed kernel modules here https://messinet.com/koji/buildinfo?buildID=3822 using your latest changes from http://git.asterisk.org/gitweb/?p=team/sruffell/dahdi-linux.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/for-5.0

Quick smoke testing seems to indicate no problems at all with the XPP modules!  Thank you!
