Testing went really well! No crashes during register calls now. After
running over an hour on v1.6.2.16.1 patched with the above r307181 file,
there were no crashes, no reference leaks (meaning no memory leaks), as
well as no UDP port leakage (meaning no denial of service)

The files that are now considered most recent fixes for this issue are:
  sip-dos-mem-leak-fix-readme-r307181.txt
  branch-1.6.1-r307181-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  branch-1.6.2-r307181-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  tag-1.6.2.16.1-r307181-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  branch-1.8-r307181-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  trunk-r307181-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff

If a moderator could please remove my previously uploaded files named
here, they are no longer valid:
  sip-dos-mem-leak-fix-readme.txt
  branch-1.6.1-r306540-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  branch-1.6.2-r306540-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  branch-1.8-r306540-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff
  trunk-r306540-sip-dos-mem-leak-fix.diff

Special thanks for wdoekes for testing, and nailing down the conditions of
that one bug during "register"
