Hello,

it would be nice to provide in the gui a checkbox to configure
authentication-less voicemail.

In practice this means in extensions.conf:

exten = 777,1,VoiceMailMain(s${CALLERID(num)}@default)

instead of 

exten = 777,1,VoiceMailMain(${CALLERID(num)}@default)

Doesn't seem to be too complicated.

Alternatively, maybe make it a different "application" ("password-less
voicemail").

Still, somebody needs to write a patch.
