Zaptel don't send DTMF tones correctly on FXO lines. For instance when
trying to dial out a number.

I think we are all facing different issues...
SydW and I were facing the same issue I guess (when looking at 1.4.8.wav
DTMFs were simply not generated except silence).

however this would be good for others to apply and test my patch because
this would print the dtmf values and we could check if they are really
incorrect...

About the changes happened in r3490 the only remark is that it use GNU C
extension (void pointer arithmetic) but shouldn't provoke problems unless
another kind of compiler is used.

Differences seen on different architectures is strange, you could try
to add -m32 or even -mtune=i386 to the CFLAGS when compiling on a 64-bit
architecture to check if you get the same results...

If anyone can test my patch:
amessina, sasha, pietie, cripito???

This would help debugging furthermore the issue(s)....
