This patch is against trunk rev 89422 and would also be useful in 1.4 

(I will submit patch for that too if necessary, but I guess it is a new
feature, but would be extremely useful for now.)

Anyways, here is a sample: (all examples included in mandesc)

I didn't test it, but it looked okay.  The only comment I had was on the
use of context vs category.  It should probably use category everywhere,
rather than context.
