FWIW, I downloaded the 1.4b3 tarball a few days ago, which built  
flawlessly on my 6.1-RELEASE-p10 box and which is working just fine  
in "production" (a small setup at home, just a few extensions, one  
SIP peer and a couple of IAX peers).
