[Asterisk-bsd] Version of FreeBSD?

Hi All,
I tried installing asterisk on freebsd 6.0 but it seems to be looking for a 
older version of asterisk-1.0.9 please let me know if there is a way i could 
modify files to install a later version sub ast 1.2.4
