The last time I looked at AMP, everything in it was so messy, but not
difficult to fix. At that time (installing Asterisk for the 1st time),
I wanted something working, so the CLI editing was much better, as it
also lets you read and understand what would otherwise be masked from
you by AMP.

If you manage to rewrite AMP for FreeBSD, it would be great though.
Please let us know how it goes. We might contribute ideas.

*I am a newbie to asterisk as well.
