I take it you haven't been following Asterisk SCF then?

Or redfone?

Or the product mentioned here?

Or our ITSP platform?

Or Enswitch's platform?

There are many ways to provide 5 nines - personally we connect customers 
to multiple servers at the same time and a failure of one doesn't impact 
services.  We've had a simultaneous failure of 3 servers without losing 
the ability to provide voice services.
