Agreed, 

Or just choose to not go after/keep that business which is already fully
mature and well served by the traditional telco companies anyways.

It would be nice to be able to offer just Asterisk and satisfy everyone but
I guess that is just a dream.

You have it flipped shadowym, it's the small businesses with a few lines 
that a screaming for SLA to work with Asterisk.
That's my exact reasoning for keeping a small key system to resell. 
Large pbx customers are use to parking calls, small businesses hate 
parking calls.
