The V3000 is a cutdown version of the NBX 100, perfect for what you
mention and priced about the same as a home grown Asterisk solution with
the same dimensions.
It is perfectly suited for "Wouldn't they have preferred to release a
cut down version of 3Com's product into the 2-25 seat market?"
I am 3com certified and have sold many V3000s and talked certain
customers out of Asterisk to 3Com depending on how needy they were, plus
the fact that their FXO inferfaces never get echo.
I agree it is a stupid move. But what if you can read between the
lines, maybe it is a brilliant move.
Thanks,
Steve
