This does of course greatly reduce the cost benefit of Remwave compared 
with Enswitch. If database scalability is an issue we have experience in 
running MySQL in production on Sun and IBM pSeries hardware.

Of course, after all we did it. However, this will definitely be the 
most expensive option unless you use only a very small fraction of 
Enswitch's (and probably Remwave's) features. Before we had Enswitch, we 
did custom solutions for customers, and Enswitch allows us to offer many 
more features at a lower price, with a very much faster time to market. 
We're very flexible and open to feature requests (as our reference 
customers will attest), so I doubt a custom solution will be more 
flexible either.
