The EdgeBox website does talk about scalability, but what it does not
say (and what you have to dig for) is that EdgeBox is a "roll-up
product" of 50 open source software applications which are configured
with proprietary wizards and control panels. The wizards, control
panels and other proprietary elements are only available if you pay for
them.

What I don't like that the EdgeBox website leaves you with the
impression that Critical Software wrote the applications which make
EdgeBox work.

They should make it clear on page one that they are NOT the authors of
the software which provides the core functionality of their product.
The software which makes their product work was donated by the open
source community.

They should also make it clear that anyone who wants to can get that
core functionality for free and that they are selling proprietary
management add-ons. The management add-ons is their value-add.

A little truth in advertising would go a long way here.
