Is the 5801 able to route asterisk->5801->fxo ?

I have a 5801 and can't seem to get this to work. Whenever I dial the 5801 
from asterisk it only rings the inside extension, it does not place a call 
out the fxo.

I called zoom tech support and they seem completely unfamiliar with the 
5801.
