You'd possibly need to reload chan_iax2.so. I had this problem running
an IAXy once. In the script that reloaded sip.conf I also
reprovisioned the IAXy. You could reload IAX2 or restart asterisk.
Although invasive, the restart won't be worse than losing contact with
all such IAX providers.
