You can route a TF DID VoIP without a local DID
I don't see why you can't just use ulaw on that TF DID just as you would
with a local DID
And YES you can route a TF to a VOIP DID that you can reroute at anytime.
You will pay the level price per min for that TF Number
I have about 140 TF Numbers that route to our Asterisk boxs
And I can call at anytime and change the ring to numbers on the TF Numbers
Yes I have 24 hour Emergency Call numbers with the provider. And I have
made changes at 2:30 AM on a Sunday
But I do pay big bucks for my numbers.
But you have to understand why I have to do that. And pay the money.
When trunks go down I can't wait for the little VoIP provider to get
hold of there provider to find out why the trunks are down.
I my case I can reroute a TF number to ANY number with a 5 Min phone
call at anytime day or night.
In other words do you want to put all of eggs in one basket?
Or do you want a lower per min rate?
Best regards,
Al Bochter
