We are looking for setting up a small scale calling card operations in USA. 
and also need a softswitch billing system for post paid clients.
 After looking into the commercial product available in the VOIP market, we 
decided to adopt an Asterisk based system which could following at a 
minimum. Following are question to the list:
 1. Can Asterisk based system support both H323 and SIP protocol? I ask this 
as several of our terminating gateways are based on H323.
 2. Is there any commercial or open source software which can have both soft 
switch, prepaid and post paid calling systems?
 3. Is there any Codec convertor available for Asterisk based system to 
convert say G723 to Gg729 or vice versa
  Please let me know?
