Request For Information
For SIP Compliant IP Telephones

In the future, The Town of Manchester will be issuing a bid for
approximately 700 SIP-based IP Telephone handsets.
We are seeking to test the quality of voice and inter-operability of
physical IP phone sets on an Asterisk-based IP Telephony system to
pre-qualify for this bid

The Town will only consider bids for those handsets that we have tested
and prequalified in the bid specification.

In order to be considered for the bid, vendors are requested to submit
for testing two units to the Town of Manchester by no later than Friday
October 21, 2005.
The two units should be of native SIP design consisting of one high-end
business grade and one low-end business grade capable of supporting PoE
(Power Over Ethernet)
The units will be returned to the vendor within 30 days or after the
testing is complete.

Please ship units including sales contacts and technical information
