Strong statement ... I would be curious to know the definition of a
"reasonably good product".

IMHO any Asterisk management interface "without limitations" will be too
complex, and anything simple and user friendly will be limiting. It really
is a matter of targeting a particular user/application type and making the
software flexible to stretch usability.

I hope that those interested will judge the product on their own.
