Yes what you see on our demo is purely a post paid billing
system.
Perhaps it may look fairly simple but maybe there's more
there then you think.
My typical customers can have 3 services, for example:
- 10 euro of bonus calls from referring other customers,
- A 1000 minute per month subscription package,
- 10 euro of Pay As You Go credit for destinations not in
the 1000 minutes.
That's fine but the complexity arises when something like
the following happens.
- Customer places a 2 hour call to Australia with the
following balances:
- 30 minutes of subscription minutes
- 0.20 euro of bonus credit
- 8 euro of Pay as You Go credit
You have to be sure to correctly bill each service and
provide a billed record to the customer.
And then of course the call could cross a Peak/Off Peak
boundary and/or be to
a destination where the customer has been given a special
rate.
It's not rocket science but it's not trivial either (if it
was you probably wouldn't be reading a thread
about a PBX Billing Engine).
