Kristian Kielhofner's most excellent AstLinux distro does a bang-up job
on this platform. I wouldn't run more than a few phones on it though.

Transcoding more than a few calls will bog down the Soekris. It's only
got a 266MHz brain in it. Having said that, it is possible to run a
Sangoma T1 card through the thing - again, as long as you don't
transcode or echo cancel.
The Soekris has the brains, just not the horsepower.
Oh yeah, and don't cheap out on your CF card - SanDisk only.
