I understand your argument. I would like to point out that the
internal trouble ticketing system at some telcoms can take 24 hours to
restart a system. I can build asterisk servers that can meet or beat
this level of service. I have also witnessed 3 millions customers go
off line do to a CO tech pointing to fast at an OC uplink. Yes I would
put more trust in asterisk than most services that are ran for profit
and some non profit.
