Sorry, you are completely incorrect and misread the article. Tech reporters
are traditionally clueless and just want to write something that sounds
catchy.

Microsoft is not going to backport XP's enhancements (NX, IE's enhancements,
etc.) to Windows 2000. Microsoft is still definitely going to be providing
security patches and fixes.

Also, the article says that no more service packs will be made, but you can
see at:

That only service packs for NT4 and 9x have no plans. The rest are to be
decided.
