[Asterisk-biz] VOIP service to current Broadband customers

I am interested in offering VOIP service to my broadband clients.  Does
Asterisk work like a softswitch (like vocaldata, Broadsoft, etc…) for hosted
business PBX offerings?  Can you create virtual PBX systems within to host
multiple companies?  The other thing, will the Asterick PBX work in
conjunction with media gateways like the Cisco AS5300 for incoming PRIs
instead of using pci PRI cards directly inserted in the server?
