That is a bullshit statement to say the least. The topic definitely
applies to this list.

This is the biz list. Pretenders, losers, wannabees and people just
trying to get something for nothing often show up here.

If you read my earlier post it has nothing to do with how much per hour.
I fully understand that people in less developed countries can work for
much less per hour. However I do have a problem with the idea that any
new job for a new customer is only 10 minutes work. That strongly hints
at carelessness and recklessness. I have cleaned up after such people
many times.

What I was referring to is people who pretend to be some kind of
high-tech entrepreneur. It often turns out thay just don't give a shit
about things like backup and security. I suspect that most of the ones I
have encountered are just trying to create a dog and pony show so they
can get other peoples money to play with.

My point was simple enough: I tell the potential client that the job
itself is small but the essentials(things like backup) are missing. I
mean a usb hard drive plugged into the linux box is one quick solution
and I can implement the backup remotely. Think about what happens if the
system crashes. The tendency is to suspect the last person logged in. If
that's me I want backup. Besides facilitating recovery it also can
provide a way to see what caused the crash. Real pros want to cover
their asses.

Anyway, I referred to people who simply refuse to do things the right
way as wannabee losers. No apologies offered.
