This is answered in their FAQ: http://www.voipjet.com/faq.php

VoipJet Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

1- Do you terminate VoIP calls to all countries?

Yes, VoipJet offers A-Z termination. However, due to Canadian restrictions
we ask that you do not knowingly use VoipJet to make a call that begin and
end in Canada. Such calls are subject to extra taxes. We have no way of
telling where a call originated, so it is up to you to keep track of this
restriction yourself. This is the only restriction.

2- How come I haven't heard of this extra tax before?

Most wholesale VoIP service companies just ignore it because it is
impossible to enforce. VoipJet is a professional corporation conducting
business in accordance with the law. If you are serving customers in Canada,
please don't use us for your Canadian long distance. Do use us for
everything else, though!

3- Can't VoipJet use CallerID information to prevent long-distance calls
starting and ending within Canada?

No. For example, many Canadians force their CallerID to a Canadian number
while travelling abroad with digital VoIP phones.

Subject: [Asterisk-biz] VoipJet's Terms of Service

Anybody read this?
https://www.voipjet.com/tos.php?PHPSESSID=db472c6283f85357f993b9714d41faae

Quite interesting. However, I'm curious about this one part:

"THE CUSTOMER SPECIFICALLY AGREES TO NOT USE THE SERVICE TO COMPLETE CALLS
THAT BOTH BEGIN AND END WITHIN THE COUNTRY OF CANADA."

And then later on down the line says:

"The customer agrees to verify use of this service, and all corresponding
call usage, complies with all application laws in Canada and the USA."

I'm curious, what is Canada's stance with VOIP? Do they strictly forbid it?
Why are we not allowed to call people in Canada or receive calls from people
in Canada via VoipJet's system?
