Adding ppp support to dahdi driver

HiWe are trying to add ppp support to DAHDI driver on FreeBSD. Any ideas on how to do this? Is it possible? Of course without using any other software, because some people add ppp support using MPD in FreeBSD, but doing this makes the driver unstable. That's why we are trying do add ppp support directly to the driver.
