Hi, I'm Doug Bailey. I've been with Digium since November of last year.
My background has been in the video industry and mostly with embedded
systems where my code has been running directly on the hardwre. (A scope
and analyzer kind of guy.) I am very new to Asterisk and look forward to
my further education in the community.
I've been to Atlanta more times than I can think of. I second Russell's
suggestion of Fogo de Chau (better known in my household as the
"meat on a stick" place.) I've also been known to hit some of the other
Buckhead public houses.

Subject: [astridevcon-2007] Introductions
The first batch (nearly 30) attendees are now subscribed to this private
mailing list for organizing the DevCon, along with Digium's event/travel
coordinator and the representatives from GTISC who are hosting the event.
I'd like to request that each of you respond to this message by posting
a short introduction to let everyone know who you are and what your role
in the DevCon (attendee, organizer, etc.) will be, and if you are an
attendee what part of the world you will be traveling from, whether you
have to been to Atlanta before, etc. It would be helpful for the group
to know these things so we can arrange group events and just get a feel
for what people would like to do while visiting Georgia Tech (besides
spending 20 hours per day designing and writing code, of course!).
I believe everyone knows who I am already, but if anyone does not feel
free to ask me to introduce myself...
