<div dir="ltr">Hi,<div><br></div><div>I am working on Presence management on a SIP client.</div><div><br></div><div>I have something working based on SUBSCRIBE / NOTIFY mechanism and Asterisk hints.</div><div>I know that an other solution could be implemented using peer to peer SUBSCRIBE / PUBLISH mechanism.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I would like to understand the advantage and drawback of each solution.</div><div>My main concern is the case of a complex VOIP environment such as Asterisk server to server connection.</div><div><br></div>
<div><br></div><div>As example if we have :</div><div><br></div><div>[client A] <----------> [Asterisk 1] <-----------> [Asterisk 2] <----------->[client B]</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Using hints and SUBSCRIBE / NOTIFY would it be possible for client A to be notified of client B presence modification ?</div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>If client A can call client B, it would make sense to have SUBSCRIBE / PUBLISH with peer to peer mechanism working. Am I right ?</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks for your advice,</div>
