</div>just a remark for people using newer(?)/other version of sox: In version<br>
v14.3.0 (ubunto lyquid lynx) or v14.3.1 (Debian Squeeze) the above<br>
command results in an error. You can use<br>
sox foo.wav --null stat<br>
instead.<br>
