I actually commented all this in safe_asterisk and now asterisk loads all fine at the beginning. Is this okay to do? Also at the beginning of the file I commented #TTY=9 as well. Can someone shade some light as to what TTY is and how it can have an adverse effect if it's not available?<div>

</div></div></blockquote><br></div><div>I had this error on a VPS (virtual server) that did not have access to tty's. You can take the TTY statement out of safe_asterisk script and then try it again. I don't have the exact code right now because I'm on my phone, but you should be able to find it if you read through that file. </div>
